Oregon California GofCloud, Ierland, Germany enz.. Primary building block of AWS. Most of what you do you need to select a region. Chouse on latencey or costs. Cost is determined by region. Choos on govermance

Colection of data centers Zones are interconnected Taking care of redundencey
